Ronald Alvin Bowie,
70, of Indian Head
Ronald Alvin Bowie, 70, of Indian Head died March 25, 2004 at his home. Mr. Bowie was a
self-employed farmer. Born October 17, 1933, in Marbury, he was the son of the late Harry
Benjamin Bowie and the late Alice Albert Rye Bowie. In addition to his parents, he was
preceded in death by two sisters, Kathleen Alberta Bowie, and Selma Edythe Bowie Monroe.
He is survived by his brothers, Eillis H. Bowie, of Indian Head, Roland Alva Bowie, of
Riverside, and Elwyn Geral Bowie, of Port Tobacco; sister, Myra Elaine Bowie Miller, of
Bowie; six nephews and four nieces. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 28 from 2-4 p.m.
and 6-8 p.m. at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, La Plata. Service will be Monday, March
29 at 11 a.m. at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeff Perry will officiate. Burial
will take place at Nanjemoy Baptist Church, Nanjemoy. Memorial may be made to Nanjemoy
Baptist Church, 3030 Baptist Church Road, Nanjemoy, Maryland 20662 or Potomac Heights
Baptist Church, 37 Glymont Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640. Arrangements are being
