Search Started for Missing Fishermen
WICOMICO SHORES --- St. Mary's Sheriff's deputies started a search at the Wicomico Shores public landing for two Amish canoers who had not returned to their horse and buggies at midnight on Friday. The young people went out for a fishing trip hours before a storm swept through the area. Avenue and Mechanicsville Volunteer fire department boats along with the Coast Guard and Maryland State Police helicopters were being asked to assist in the search.
