Sherman Lee Robbins
U. S. Air Force Veteran
Sherman Lee Robbins of Hughesville, Maryland died at
his home on Sunday, May 8, 2005. He was 67 years old.
Born February 3, 1938 In Dunkard Township, Pennsylvania to the late Martha K.
and Guy W. Robbins. Mr. Robbins served in the U. S. Air Force from 1955 to 1958
before being Honorably Discharged as an Airman Third Class. He was a concrete
finisher by trade who loved hunting. He was also a big fan of NASCAR Racing
(Bill Elliott #9) and the Orioles baseball team. He was a member of the Catholic
faith and St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church in Benedict, Maryland.
He is survived by his wife Barbara L. Robbins of Hughesville, MD; daughter Karen
Cawthon of Mount Holly, NJ; son Adam Robbins of Dilliner, PA; stepsons Mark and
Luke Trevathan of Hughesville, MD; sisters Rose Votuc of Louisiana, Janet Duncan
of Peru, Indiana, Bonnie Binkley of Lusby, MD and Cheryl Brewer of Dilliner, PA;
grandchildren Alicia and Nathan Cawthon of Mount Holly, NJ.
Friends received on Friday, May 13, 2005 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the
Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. 30195 Three Notch Road Charlotte Hall,
Maryland. Mass of Christian Burial 10AM Saturday, May 14, 2005 at St. Francis
DeSales Catholic Church 7189 Benedict Avenue Benedict, Maryland 20612 with
Father Saverio Vitturino officiating. Interment St. Mary’s Church Cemetery
Bryantown, Maryland.
