Speeding His Way to the Slammer
REDGATE --- St. Marys Sheriff's Sgt. Daniel D. Alioto stopped a commercial vehicle
for speeding in the Redgate area. Upon contacting the operator, Eugene Thomas Doughty, 36,
of Baltimore, and a wanted and driver's license check revealed that Doughty had an
outstanding warrant through the Maryland Transportation Authority from an offense that
occurred in March of 1999. Doughty was incarcerated and was awaiting a hearing before the
District Court Commissioner.
It Took Him Weeks to Get Back in Jail
GREAT MILLS --- St. Marys Deputy Jason Maletto
responded to Great Mills neighborhood for a report of "man with a gun",
according to Cpl. Katherine Dassing. Detectives were also in the area and spotted Jason
Andre Armstrong. Armstrong, who had been reported to be committing robberies at gunpoint
in recent weeks, fit the description of the man with the gun and upon contact fled from
the Detectives. Officers gave chase and Armstrong was observed by Lt. Lyle E. Long enter
an apartment complex. Armstrong was apprehended after he entered an apartment, uninvited,
while fleeing the Officer's pursuit. He was arrested and charged with Burglary and
trespass as well as served an outstanding warrant for Armed Robbery, Burglary 1st degree
and theft. He was incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center and is being held
on a No Bond status. Armstrong is a regular visitor to the jail and often writes letters
complaining about the food, which he must have missed.
Desperate Housewives Fight over TV
ST. INIGOES --- St. Marys Sheriff's Deputy Dfc.
W. Daniel Ray responded to a St. Inigoes apartment complex for a report of a domestic
dispute, reports Cpl. Katherine Dassing. Dfc. Ray found
Amy Fitzgerald suffering from a head injury but she refused medical treatment. Located
several doors down was the suspect in
the assault Tamara Elizabeth Higgs. Police say that the two were arguing over a television
set when Higgs punched Fitzgerald with a closed fist. Higgs was arrested, given a room at
the Hotel St. Marys without a TV and is awaiting a hearing before the District Court
Commissioner.

Shuffle on Police Car Windows
LEXINGTON PARK --- St. Marys Sheriffs Dfc.
John W. Cusic responded to the Burger King in Lexington Park for a disorderly and
intoxicated male. James Johnson Morgan, 39, of Mechanicsville, was threatening both
patrons and employees of the establishment, say police. He was arrested and attempted to
kick out the rear windows of the marked patrol unit. Morgan was incarcerated at the
Detention Center.
Garner Comes Out of the Closet --- at
Teethpoint
LEONARDTOWN --- St. Marys Sheriff's Department
received information on a possible location of a wanted subject through Crime Solvers.
That information revealed by a citizen the location of Jesse Aaron Garner, who was an
escapee from the St. Mary's
County Detention Center. Sheriff's Deputies Kevin Somerville, Jason Maletto and K-9
Officer Todd L. Fleenor responded to the alleged location and found that the suspect was
in fact there and hiding in a closet. The suspect refused to exit the closet and Sheriff's
Office K-9 Roni was dispatched. Garner was apprehended and received treatment for his
minor injuries before being incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center.
Should Stay on Scene of Crash
LEONARDTOWN --- St. Marys Deputy Angela M. Muller arrested a 17-year-old female
juvenile suspect who lives in the Leonardtown area and charged her with Failure to Remain
at the Scene of an Automobile Accident. The accident occurred in the Hollywood area and
caused property damage to a resident's personal property.
Inverter Jail Converter
CALIFORNIA --- St. Marys Deputy Jason Maletto
responded to the California Wal-Mart for the report of a theft of property from the
business. Police report that Herbert Gaylor Niles was arrested and charged with Theft
Under $100 for attempting to steal an Automotive Power Inverter. Suspect Niles is
currently awaiting a court date.
Thong Show Gang
LEXINGTON PARK --- Deputy Somar K. Clark responded to the
Peebles Department Store in Lexington Park for a report of theft of merchandise from the
business. Two (2) female juvenile suspects ages 13 and 11 years old were arrested and
charged with Theft Under $100 for stealing thong underwear. The juveniles were charged
with Theft Under $100 and released to their stepfather and are currently awaiting a court
date.
No Deal in Jail
LEONARDTOWN --- St. Marys Sheriffs
Dfc. John W. Cusic served a Prince Georges County warrant on Suspect William Jerome
Davis alleging he was in Possession of CDS with Intent to Distribute and Possession of
CDS. Davis is currently waiting a court date in Prince Georges County.
