Maryland will be implementing a plan to deploy a fleet of 36' foot patrol vessels intended
to guard the state's major bridges, which until now, have been left unguarded. A
patrol craft will be based at Cobb Island and is set to patrol around the Rt. 301
Bridge. The vessel was offered to the Charles County Sheriff's Dept.

In an exchange of properties, the Navy will hand over the historic
Point Lookout Lighthouse and several other buildings which the Navy has been using for
various radar and weaponry systems testing in return for land owned by Maryland, according
