Man Spinning Wheels While
Drunk Driving Nabbed by Off Duty Deputy
CHARLOTTE HALL --- St. Mary's Sheriff's Deputy David L.
Corcoran was off duty in the Charlotte
Hall area when he observed a vehicle spinning tires in the parking lot
of the car wash. Sgt. Daniel Alioto reports that the deputy stopped the vehicle and
identified the operator as Brandon Steven Hammett, 22, from Waldorf, Md. Dfc. Corcoran
detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from Suspect
Hammett's breath. Deputy Milton Pesante responded and continued the
investigation. After the Suspect failed the roadside tests he was
arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
