Too Boozed to Stand But She Drove Anyway
GREAT MILLS --- According to Sheriff's Sgt. Daniel
Alioto,
St. Mary's Sheriff's Deputy First Class Richard W. Russell responded to a
call for a vehicle into a ditch on Point Lookout Road in Great Mills and
located Darlene Lynn Rivera. Suspect Rivera was intoxicated to the point
she could not stand. She was arrested and charged with Driving While
Intoxicated and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center.
Suspect Rivera is a repeat offender for intoxicated driving violations.

LEONARDTOWN --- St. Mary's Sheriff's Deputy Douglas S. Mills accompanied members
of the
Department of Juvenile Services and Assistant State's Attorney Joseph
Stanalonis in the check of Juveniles that were placed on the Electronic
Monitoring Program, reports Sgt. Daniel Alioto.
Upon making contact with a 16 year old juvenile at
his Leonardtown residence, the juvenile was found to have been consuming
alcoholic beverages. An immediate violation was conducted and the
Sheriff's Office transported the juvenile to Cheltenham the Juvenile
Youth Detention Center to await a hearing before the Juvenile Court.
