Two Thugs Break In Home of Sleeping Victims
WHITE PLAINS-- On Oct. 11 at 11:19 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to a residence in the 4700 block of Crain Highway in White Plains for the report of a home invasion. Investigation revealed two suspects forced entry into the residence while a 24-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were asleep. The suspects brandished shotguns and demanded money. The victims complied but during the incident the suspects struck the man with a shotgun and then fled the scene in a vehicle traveling in an unknown direction. The vehicle is described as a white 1993 to 1997 Ford Crown Victoria with a chrome spotlight on the driver’s side. Both suspects are described as tall, thin black males and are approximately 25 years of age. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to Civista Medical Center. The woman was not injured. Destruction of Property
LUSBY-- DFC. Katherine Luppino responded to the Boys and Girls Club of Maryland located at 11570 H.G. Trueman Road in Lusby on October 3 at 9:00 a.m. The complainant advised that sometime overnight, unknown suspects had shattered the front glass doors to the building. Nothing appeared to be missing from inside. Damage is estimated at $800.00. Luppino will continue the investigation.
Predator Peeps Through Woman’s Bedroom Window
LUSBY-- A victim on Ridgeview Road in Lusby reported to Dep. Kevin Hall on October 2 that she was awakened at 1:30 that morning by her dogs barking. She noticed a man looking in her bedroom window. The victim did not call police until 10:40 that morning so the subject could not be located. Dep. Hall will continue to investigate this case.
3 Arrested For Marijuana at Local Motel
PRINCE FREDERICK-- An employee at the Super 8 Motel in Prince Frederick advised Dep. Carl Fischer on October 10 that a customer complained of the smell of burning marijuana coming from an adjacent room. Dep. Fischer responded to the suspected room and knocked on the door, immediately smelling the odor of burnt marijuana. All three occupants of the room were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The three men, all from Tecumseh, MI, are John N. Shotwell, 29, Jason E. Clifton, 25, and John M. Perry, 31.
Burglary; $900 is Total Value of Stolen Items
LUSBY-- On October 9 at 4:30 p.m. DFC. Gary Ward responded to a home on Mill Creek Drive in Lusby. The victim advised that unknown suspects had entered the residence and stolen items totaling over $900.00 in value. The burglary occurred sometime that day between 6:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. DFC. Ward will continue the investigation.
Reporting to an Accident, Officer finds Ecstasy and Marijuana
HUNTINGTOWN-- On 10-4, 2:08 PM, Rt. 2/4, Huntingtown, TPR Bigham responded to a single-car accident. During the course of the investigation, TPR Bigham located 3 suspected ecstasy pills in the vehicle. The operator, Justin Brent Jones, 22, of Upper Marlboro, was then placed under arrest. Incident to his arrest, a baggie of suspected marijuana and rolling papers were found on his person. Mr. Jones was charged with possession of ecstasy, marijuana, and CDS paraphernalia. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
White Female Steals Skateboard
DUNKIRK PARK-- On 10-7, 3:17 PM, TPR Korn responded to Dunkirk Park for a theft complaint. The victim’s parent advised that an unknown white female, wearing a blue plaid jacket, with black hair, black glasses, black pants, and approximately 18 years old, had stolen a Flip skateboard and left the area in a brown, 4-door Toyota, occupied by two males. The investigation is continuing.
Camera Stolen from Hotel Room
PRINCE FREDERICK-- On 10-8, between 10:20 AM and 11:17 AM, an unknown culprit entered a room at the Prince Frederick Holiday Inn and removed a Nikon digital camera. TFC Stein is handling the investigation.
Driving Suspended; Man is also arrested for Cocaine
PRINCE FREDERICK-- On 10-8, 6:25 PM, Rt. 231, Prince Frederick, TPR Stern stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. A computer check revealed that the operator, Decarlos Bunting White, 33, of Prince Frederick, was driving on a suspended license. Incident to arrest, 2 baggies of suspected cocaine were recovered from the vehicle. Mr. White was then additionally charged with possession of cocaine. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
Local Teen Arrested for Shooting Air Soft Gun out of Car
CALIFORNIA-- Deputy Michael George responded to a 911 call in the area of a California, Maryland business. There was a description of a vehicle given by the caller who stated that someone was firing a handgun from the vehicle. Deputy George located the vehicle and found that the suspect, Sean Gregory Quade (Age 18 of Mechanicsville) was firing an “Air Soft” projectile at vehicles and street signs. The caller responded to the scene and believed that she was being shot at as she was in her vehicle. The pellet style gun was recovered from the vehicle and Suspect Quade was charged with Assault First and Second Degree as well as Reckless Endangerment.
Needles, Heroin, and Crack found during a Traffic Stop
MECHANICSVILLE-- Deputy William Kile conducted a traffic stop in the Mechanicsville area and identified the operator as Neomi Santos Lopez (Age 28 of Lexington Park).and Suspect Brett Alan Robinson Santos (Age 29 of Lexington Park) as a passenger. Both Suspects were found to be in possession of at least ten (10) needles, several packets of heroin and several crack cocaine smoking devices. There were charged with various Controlled Dangerous Substance violations.
Officer found Marijuana while Investigating a “Shots Fired” Call
LEXINGTON PARK-- Jermaine Lynell Young-Age 25 of Lexington Park was arrested by Deputy Keith Moritz for possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (Marijuana). Deputy Mortiz was investigating a “Shots Fired” call in Lexington Park. He was in the area and three (3) vehicles fled. He was able to stop two (2) of the three vehicles and noted that the occupants were holding baseball bats. As the investigation continued Deputy Moritz located a quantity of marijuana on the person of Suspect Young.
Belligerent Drunkard Spits at Officer
CALLAWAY-- Deputy David Yingling arrested William Johnson Hall (Age 46 of Callaway, Maryland) for Driving While Intoxicated. Suspect Hall remained uncooperative through the entire process. Once at the Detention Center the Suspect began to spit on Deputy Yingling and was charged with the criminal offense of Assault Second Degree.
Handgun Found in Vehicle of Wanted Man
LEXINGTON PARK-- Joseph Leon Davis-Age 26 of Lexington Park was arrested during a traffic stop by Corporal Christopher Morley. It was discovered that there was an open Circuit Court warrant for the Suspect for Failure to Pay Child Support. A search of the vehicle was conducted and located inside was a handgun, which the Suspect was charged for.
