Violet “Jean” Stone Rovito, 50, Dameron, MD passed away on August 28, 2004 at her home. She is the loving wife of Don Rovito, Sr. who she married 33 years ago. She is survived by her son, Donny Rovito, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Anna Rovito of Waldorf, MD, her son, Anthony “Tony” Rovito of Dameron, MD, her step-daughters, Donna Houseworth and Angel Lackner of New York, Heidi Darwin of North Carolina, and grandchildren, Anthony, Donna and Alex Rovito, Kaylee Houseworth, Austin and Blake Lackner, Justin, Lauren and Chase Darwin, her brothers, Gilbert “Sonny” Stone, Jr. of Callaway and Michael Stone of Dameron and their families. She is predeceased by her half-brothers, Joe Bohanan and Bobby Bohanan.

Born December 27, 1953, in Leonardtown, MD, the daughter of the late Gilbert Stone, Sr. and Helen Bean Stone Talent. She attended St. Michael’s School and Great Mills High School. She enjoyed working in her vegetable garden, caring for her flower beds, and cheering victory for her favorite NASCAR driver but most importantly spending time with her grandchildren.

Family will receive friends at Brinsfield Funeral Home on Monday, August 30, 2004 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm with prayers at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 31, 2004 at St. Michael’s Church, Ridge, MD. The Reverend Maurice O’Connell will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gilbert “Butch” Stone, Dennis Stone, Tom Briscoe, Edward Costanzo, James Cox and Mike Griffis.
