Myers Shell Robbed
WALDORF --- On Sept. 26 at 6:56 p.m., Charles
County Sheriff's officers responded to Myers Shell and Auto Service at 3185
Leonardtown Road in Waldorf for a hold-up alarm. Investigation revealed a man
entered the attendant's booth while it was unoccupied and stole the cash drawer.
As the man began to flee, he struck the booth attendant. Two other employees
tried to stop the man but he assaulted the employees and fled. A K9 team
conducted a track but did not locate the suspect. Two of the employees were
injured and transported to Southern Maryland Hospital Center for treatment. The
suspect is described as a white male in his late 30s or early 40s. He is 6 feet
tall, weighs between 200 and 215 pounds and has a medium build. He is bald and
was wearing a cut-off gray or white T-shirt. Anyone with information about this
incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at
301-609-6515. Det. J. Elliot is investigating.
Burglars Went Through Drawers
BRYANS ROAD --- Sometime between Sept. 22 and Sept. 26,
suspect(s) forced entry into a residence in the 2900 block of Marshall Hall Road
in Bryans Road. The suspects removed dresser drawers and threw them on the
floor but it does not appear anything was stolen. Anyone with information about
this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at
301-743-2222. Officer R. Gilroy is investigating.
Gunfire Punctuated Argument Between Man & Wife
WALDORF --- On Sept. 24 at 8:58 p.m., Charles County
Sheriff's officers responded to the 600 block of Post Office Road in Waldorf for
the report of the sound of gunshots. Upon arrival, Officer J. Burroughs found
Kevin Daniel Kiley, 25, of Waldorf, and Kiley's wife in a parking lot. They
reported hearing gunshots in the area of the St. Charles lake but could not
provide further information. Further investigation revealed Kiley was in
possession of a handgun and he fired the gun during an argument with his wife.
Officer Burroughs arrested Kiley and charged him with possessing a concealed
deadly weapon, handgun violations and disturbing the public peace. He is being
held at the Charles County Detention Center on $25,000 bond.
Driver Didn't Like Being Pulled Over
WALDORF --- On Sept. 25 at 1:37 p.m., Officer T.
Hemsley observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of
Billingsley Road and St. Charles Parkway in Waldorf. The officer attempted to
conduct a traffic stop but the driver failed to stop until he reached his
residence on Brightwell Court in Waldorf. Officer Hemsley identified the driver
as Mark Thomas Anderson, 32, and issued him traffic citations for failure to
stop at a stop sign and attempting to elude police.
