Walton Heads to Britain for Radio Marketing Contract
Former owner of Southern Maryland radio stations
ready to make England swing like a pendulum do...

Consumer Strategists, a Blacksburg, Virginia, business consulting firm, has been
awarded a consultation contract with the Zeta Digital Corporation located in
St. Edmonds, UK.  Consumer Strategists will supply consultation efforts in
the marketing and sales areas for the company that specializes in the new
digital audio broadcast spectrum in the country.

Consumer Strategists is headed by Ronald Walton, former head of the Bay
Media Network, which operated WPTX and WMDM along with Channel 10 TV
in St. Mary's County and also owners of New River Valley Radio Partners in the Blacksburg area.

In receiving the contract, Walton said, "we feel really honored and blessed that our firm was
chosen over some more established and larger firms.  In fact, when we got
the call asking us to bid on the project, I sort of had to pinch myself to
make sure this was really happening.  The contract comes on the heels of
several months of work on our part to learn more about broadcasting in the
United Kingdom to determine how we can integrate US marketing ideas to their
network."

Walton continued, "The area we'll initially be working in is where many of
the US military bases are located.  And the area has a definite American
business culture about it:  McDonalds is there, Domino's is there, Outback
is on the way.  Coke, Pepsi......there is a wealth of American products and
a basic understanding of US marketing already.  In addition to assisting in
their marketing efforts, we'll also gain knowledge as well".

Walton said, "they are light years ahead of us with DAB (digital audio
broadcasting).  The government there is already awarding licenses, whereas
the US is still lagging behind.  This experience will give us first-hand
knowledge of what will work and what will not work in the area of DAB when
it comes to the States."

Zeta Digital head Jeff Davis commented, "We have people in our company who
have worked with Ron and those who have competed with Ron back in the
States.  I think we all have the same assessment that we loved working with
him, but didn't enjoy the experience of competing with him.  He's a person
you want on your side, on your team.  So, we feel fortunate that we are not
going into this partnership blindly. At the end of the day though we picked
Ron and his firm because he'll invest the time to integrate his systems in
with some of the old broadcasting traditions here in Great Britain.  We're
excited about him coming over in the coming weeks."

Consumer Strategists is a unique company that helps businesses connect with
consumers as well as assisting companies in areas of employee recruitment.
As well as working with businesses of all types, the company still works
with clients in the broadcast and cable industries.
