CALIFORNIA --- St. Mary's Sheriff's Sgt. Terry Black reports that on
12/28/04 Dfc. C. Earle responded to a disturbance on Laurel Glen Rd.
California. Upon arrival contact was made with the occupants of the
apartment. Upon entering the residence Dfc. Earle observed a bag of
suspected Marijuana in plain view. A consent search of the residence
led to the discovery of 332.07 Grams of suspected Marijuana, $1,443 in
U.S. Currency, and a CDS Smoking Device. The occupants, William
Morrison, 20, and Ryan Schoonover, 18, were placed under arrest,
charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia
and incarcerated in the Detention Center pending an appearance before
the District Court Commissioner.
Stabbing led to arrest of DWI driver after Holiday spat;
siblings reunited in jail
WALDORF --- On Dec. 26 at 3:20 a.m., Officer A. Celia conducted a traffic
stop on a Ford Taurus in the 2200 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf after
observing the vehicle weaving in its lane and cross the center line.
Investigation revealed the driver, a 32-year-old La Plata man, was allegedly
intoxicated. The man was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated,
Driving Under the Influence and other traffic violations. During the
investigation, the man advised his sister, a 38-year-old Glasva woman, stabbed
him during an earlier altercation at a residence in the 200 block of Concord
Circle in La Plata. Officers responded to the residence and arrested the man’s
sister. She was charged with First- and Second- Degree Assault. They are both
being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending appearances before the
District Court Commissioner. Officer Celia investigated.
