Wendy's Robbed
WALDORF --- On Aug 28 at 1:33 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to Wendy’s located at 2040 Crain Highway in Waldorf for the report of an armed robbery. Investigation revealed an employee, a 25-year-old Waldorf man, had left the business and was walking to his vehicle when he was approached by the suspect, a black male wearing a ski mask and brandishing a handgun. The suspect ordered the employee to open the business and safe. The employee complied and the suspect stole cash and fled the scene. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-932-7777. Officer C. Shaw is investigating.

 

Daylight Heist of Liquor Store
WALDORF --- On Aug. 26 at 11:29 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to Waldorf Liquors located at 2276 Crain Highway in Waldorf for the report of an armed robbery. Investigation revealed three black male suspects, two who were brandishing handguns, entered the business and ordered the employees, a 55-year-old Suitland man and a 31-year-old Waldorf man, to lie on the floor. The suspects stole cash from the registers and a safe and stole the employee’s wallets and cell phones. They fled the scene in a gray older-model Ford Thunderbird. A fourth suspect and a black Cadillac Eldorado may also be involved. Photographs of the suspects were obtained from the business’s surveillance camera and can be viewed on the Sheriff’s Office’s Web site at www.ccso.us. Anyone with information about this incident or who may recognize the suspects in the photographs is asked to contact Det. K. Moody at 301-609-6514.
