Woman Charged with Attempting to Ice Ex

A bitter pill to swallow...

MECHANICSVILLE --- Lt. Daniel Alioto, commander of the criminal investigation division, reports that St. Mary's Sheriff's Patrol Officers received a complaint that Renee Bossee, 45, of Mechanicsville was attempting to kill her former husband,  Gary Bossee. Although the couple had divorced, they continued to live together, say police. Beginning the last week of May 2006, police say that Renee Bossee began placing different pills into the Gary's drinks. The pills were both over the counter and prescribed. Police say that the woman was attempting to cause illness that would lead to her ex-husband's death. Recovered from the home by police was a bottle of stolen prescription medication and an over the counter banned substance.

          Renee Bossee was arrested and charged with one (one) count of Reckless Endangerment and one (1) count of Second Degree Assault. Additional charges are pending a State’s Attorney’s Office and Grand Jury review.
