Woman Plunged Steaknife Into Hubby's Stomach
HOLLYWOOD ---- On Saturday, 11-20-04 the St. Mary's
County Bureau of Criminal Investigations responded to St. Mary's Hospital for a reported
stabbing. Investigation revealed that the victim, Victor Thomas Demko, and his
wife/suspect, Jo Ann Demko were involved in a domestic altercation on 11-19-04 at their
residence in Hollywood, MD.
State Police Cpl. Roger Redmond reports that during the altercation Jo Ann Demko stabbed her husband in the abdomen with a steak knife.
Victor Demko drove himself to St. Mary's Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Upon arrival medical personnel determined Victor Demko's injuries were severe and he needed immediate emergency surgery.
Jo Ann Demko was arrested and charged with Assault and Reckless Endangerment. Jo Ann Demko was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center awaiting appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
